Former Celtic boss Gordon Strachan has admitted that he would like to see Neil Lennon installed as the next permanent manager at Celtic Park.
Lennon is currently interim manager until the end of the season. However, Strachan his disclosed that he would like to see his former captain at Celtic get the job.
“What’s their vision”

“I’d love him to get the job but the Celtic board have to decide where they want to go, what’s their vision for the future?” Strachan told the Scottish Sun.
“There’s an intelligent man in there who understands the modern-day game. He’s good at man-management, which has always been huge.”

Strachan’s point about the Celtic board is perhaps the most telling.
Board will have to deicide

The Hoops board will have to deicide at some stage if Lennon fits the criteria of what they want in a Celtic manager.
The picture may become slightly clearer after Celtic take on Rangers in the Glasgow derby on Sunday. An emphatic win for the Hoops could lead for calls for Lennon to be named manager.
A defeat or draw however, would leave more questions than answers.
It is pivotal that a decision is made on Lennon’s future sooner rather than later though.
Only time will tell if Strachan gets his wish and Lennon gets named as the next Celtic manager.
