The Green Brigade have released a statement ahead of Celtic’s Europa League fixture against Stuttgart.
The Celtic Ultras’ ban by the Parkhead club continues as the Hoops look to end their Europa League campaign with a bit of dignity.
Interim Celtic chairman Brian Wilson said he planned to open lines of communication with the Green Brigade in a meeting held this month, but the fan group’s statement has hit out and claims no contact has been made yet.
Taking to X, the Green Brigade said, “Despite the commitment made here to continue dialogue with the Green Brigade, there has been no update from the club since the meeting on 12th Feb, and two Green Brigade emails since then have had no response.
“Tomorrow’s match is the 26th the Green Brigade has been banned for.”

What Brian Wilson actually said about the Green Brigade ban
With 26 games gone, the Green Brigade’s absence has been felt inside Celtic Park as the atmosphere no longer intimidates visiting opponents or inspires the Hoops team.
And what Brian Wilson said at the meeting with the Celtic Fans Collective shows that end to the ban is nowhere near in sight.
The Celtic Fans Collective minutes from the meeting stated, “BW [Brian Wilson] confirmed he had met the Green Brigade the previous week and that dialogue is ongoing. He stated there is a will within the Board to resolve matters and that progress had been made on one strand, with another strand more complex.
“It was stated that conditionality would apply. GC stated that the Head of Security (Mark Hargreaves) does not hold a veto.
“The Collective reiterated that the current position of the club is disproportionate and that the contradiction of the club’s stance should be addressed. They also stated that reinstatement of the GB would represent a clear and immediate gesture of good faith.
“BW acknowledged that the Green Brigade’s presence could have a positive impact on the team but did not commit to a timeframe for resolution of this matter.”
Green Brigade Celtic ban must end now
It really is that simple, if Celtic really want to win this league and the Scottish Cup, the Green Brigade ban needs to end, and end now.
Celtic and Brian Wilson plead for unity whilst enforcing a never-ending blanket ban on a section of supporters.
The Celtic board could help start to bring a swift end to the troubles with fans with one easy move, but will they do it? Do they have the appetite?
