It is fair to say that the Celtic fans group the Green Brigade have not been happy with certain aspects of the club at the moment.

The group recently had banners protesting the Celtic board displayed during the recent Betfred Cup tie against Dunfermline.

Ahead of the Europa League play-off against AIK, the group once more sent a message to the Hoops hierarchy.

The Daily Record reports that a banner was displayed featuring the message “Don’t sleep at wheel”.

The display featured Peter Lawwell driving a car. Dermot Desmond is sitting alongside him with Neil Lennon in the back seat.

That is obviously a reference to the recent poor results and lack of transfer activity that has been going on at Celtic.

The fans group seem to be concerned that if the Hoops don’t up their game, they could let nine in a row slip through their fingers.

Hoops still to spend transfer windfall

That is a message that you imagine would be supported by the vast majority of the Hoops support. The Hoops have as yet not spent any of the £25 million they received from Arsenal from Kieran Tierney.

Should some of that be spent soon, it would alleviate some worries of the Hoops support.

Results on the pitch seem to have improved with the 2-0 win over AIK. Now it is time for matters off the pitch to do the same.
