Celtic fan group The Green Brigade have continued their incredible NHS donation drive over the Easter weekend, delivering Easter eggs, toiletries and hampers to patients and staff.
The ongoing public health crisis has put a real strain on the NHS in Scotland, with no-one feeling that more acutely than the doctors and nurses on the frontline.
The Celtic supporters’ group have been detailing their efforts to provide a bit of support to staff and hospitals via the North Curve Celtic Twitter page and offered an update earlier on Tuesday.
They were active at seven different hospitals over the weekend, putting a smile staff’s faces.
Charity has been at the forefront of Celtic’s response to the current crisis, with the club mobilising its Foundation’s resources and donating an initial £175,000 to help charities in Scotland help vulnerable people.
Grassroots action like the Green Brigade’s is clearly making a difference too though.
It’s fantastic to see fans mobilised and helping uphold the ethos of the club’s original founders.
It’s through efforts like these that society is coming to come through all of this together and move ahead positively.
