The real reason Greg Taylor was out of Celtic’s squad vs Aberdeen

Speaking prior to kick-off the Celtic manager was asked why the fullback dropped completely out the squad to face Aberdeen when Rodgers delivered some excellent news for the Taylor family.

Rodgers told BBC Radio Scotland, “Greg was in the squad and then late this afternoon when we were at the hotel, his wife went into labour.

“So hopefully all being well, and of course, family is much more important than football, so we sent him away to be with her, and fingers crossed, everything is okay for them, and becoming parents for the first time.”
