Celtic left-back Greg Taylor has disclosed that he is looking forward to possibly making his Glasgow derby for the Hoops against Rangers on Sunday, the Herald reports.
Taylor has yet to feature for the Hoops in the most important league game of them all, but as he has been first choice on the left-hand side for the team recently, you imagine that he has a good chance of being in Neil Lennon’s starting line-up.

“I haven’t played for Celtic against Rangers yet” Taylor said, as quoted by the Herald.
“We want to get a positive result”
“I signed the day after the first one this season, and I was in the stand in December. It’s a massive game and one I am looking forward to. I managed to pick a few points up against Rangers with Kilmarnock, but that means nothing now. I am at Celtic now and this is a massive game, but we want to get a positive result” he concluded.
The biggest game that Taylor has probably played in for Celtic so far is the Europa League second leg game against Copenhagen.
That didn’t go that well for either him or the team, but it is a positive sign for the player that Neil Lennon has kept faith in the full-back, even after that game.

Of course, a Glasgow derby is a different game altogether. You need to be made of strong stuff to succeed in that game. Thankfully, Celtic have a squad of players who have been successful in the derby.
Can get advice from teammates
That means that Taylor can ask his teammates what it is like to play in a winning side at Ibrox, which of course Celtic did earlier this season.
It is perhaps unexpected that Taylor has yet to play a minute of football against Rangers this season, but that is just the nature of life in a large first-team squad.
It looks like Taylor will get the chance to make his first appearance in a derby on Sunday. Hopefully he is able to pass this test with flying colours, and help the Hoops achieve a notable result.
