Ange Postecoglou reckons Greg Taylor could rejoin Celtic training as early as next week, providing a hopeful update on the defender’s hamstring issue yesterday.
Taylor limped out of the match against Rangers at Ibrox and his absence was keenly felt. The Scotland international has been a stand-out for the Bhoys this term and the sooner we get him back the better.
Good news then that Postecoglou has told The Scottish Daily Mail [14/01 print edition page 119: “Greg is probably another week away.”

Meanwhile, Sead Haksabanovic, Anthony Ralston, Stephen Welsh and James McCarthy are all expected to come back into contention for the visit of St Mirren on Wednesday night.
With Taylor unlikely to be risked against Greenock Morton, the fixture away to Dundee United at Tannadice looks like a good candidate for his reintroduction.
That’d be well timed with United picking up form and likely fancying their chances of a big performance in front of a home crowd on Tayside – especially after we embarrassed them earlier in the season.
In the meantime, Alexandro Bernabei can continue his Celtic education following a switch from Argentinian side Lanus in the summer.
Bernabei is a creative, incisive presence at his best for the Bhoys but he’s still ironing out rough edges in his all-round left-back game.
Taylor will no doubt return to the starting line-up when he’s fully fit but these matches are a big chance for the recent signing to stake a claim for more opportunities.
