Reported Celtic target Gyrano Kerk is “ready for the next step” according to his agent Richinel Bryson.
The winger, who currently plays for Eredivisie side Utrecht, is said to be in talks with a number of clubs as he plots a transfer away this summer.
In early February, it was reported (Daily Record) that Neil Lennon’s men had made a last gasp bid to try and sign Kerk who was prolific last season – netting ten goals in 25 league matches.

Now the Record have some quotes from Kerk’s agent Bryson who has given an interesting insight into his client’s mind at present.
“I have been in plenty of Zoom conversations with big foreign clubs,” Bryson said.
“Gyrano has proved he’s ready for the next step, although it’s not a foregone conclusion that he will leave.
“But he is very ambitious. He is 24 years old and has had a very strong season.
“At the same time, Utrecht has become his club – they have given him a lot. The club knows our position.”

Are Celtic one of the clubs in for Kerk?
Given that we were in for Kerk during the winter, it is fair to assume that the club still hold some sort of interest in the player.
Due to travelling restrictions over the past few months, the Celtic scouting department are unlikely to have been able to look at players in the same way as before.
That could mean that moves for players, like Kerk, who were already on our radar become more apparent.

On the face of it, hitting double figures from the wing in the Dutch top-flight is a pretty impressive feat.
There is clearly interest in Kerk, per Bryson’s comments. Time will tell whether we really are one of the interested parties.
