Former Celtic striker John Hartson is adamant that Brendan Rodgers will stay at the club despite Aston Villa links.
In his column for The Evening Times, Hartson explained to readers that Rodgers was in his “dream job”.
And interest from Aston Villa was irrelevant because his job at Celtic is much better.
Rodgers’ loyalty

Hartson believes Rodgers is fed up of having his loyalty questioned.
Time and time again, the Northern Irishman is linked with a Celtic exit as various jobs become available.
Aston Villa is the latest link but Hartson does not believe Rodgers would be interested in dropping down to the Championship during the middle of his Celtic project.
MORE CELTIC STORIES
Having won consecutive domestic trebles, Celtic now face the most challenging year of Rodgers’ tenure.
After the worst start in 20 years, the Bhoys are not cruising at the top of the league, which is uncharted territory in the Rodgers era.
But Hartson thinks Celtic will turn things around and still win the league. And the Welshman thinks that this challenge will interest Rodgers enough to stay.
How long will he stay?

But despite Harton’s insistence that Rodgers is settled in his dream job, he is bound to leave at some point.
The big bucks of China could not lure him in the summer and surely moving to the Championship would be punching under his weight.
Although you can’t question his commitment, there has to be a job out there that might tempt him.
Perhaps if he was offered another Premier League gig, he might not be able to resist.
But for now, I think Rodgers is settled in Glasgow and not in any rush to leave Celtic, despite the Aston Villa links.
