Celtic have controlled the landscape of domestic football in Scotland for over the last decade and have started the season in strong fashion once again.
The Bhoys came flying out the blocks last Sunday on the opening day of the Scottish Premiership, disposing of Kilmarnock in comfortable fashion to move top of the pile.
With the campaign in its infancy, Celtic fans will always be on the lookout to see how other sides have strengthened this summer.
Some firm challenges will stand in the Bhoys’ way as they look to record four in a row, not least the prospect of facing last term’s third-place side Heart of Midlothian.
Now, one of the Jambos’ new men has made a surprise claim about their own aspirations in 2024/25 following their draw with Rangers last weekend.
Yan Dhanda makes claim involving Celtic
Yan Dhanda was an impressive presence at Ross County last season and has set the bar high at Tynecastle this season, claiming Hearts can usurp Celtic to win the Scottish Premiership title.
He explained [BBC Sport]: “Yes, definitely. I think we can go past the top two. We have shown how good we can be, so what’s stopping us?

“As long as we keep believing in the talent we have in the changing room and the togetherness along with the staff and the group of players, we can do anything this season.
“I think the most important thing is just keep believing and we showed that on Saturday.”
Celtic will be keen to emphasise title credentials
Celtic are the reigning champions and have shown they are the team to beat this season, but it appears others have different ideas as the complexion of the new campaign starts to formulate.
Either way, it is just more fuel for the fire burning inside Brendan Rodgers and company at Parkhead to bring further silverware back to Glasgow’s east end.
Make no mistake, Celtic are the scalp everyone wants this term; nevertheless, it is hardly a new scenario, so the dressing room will be prepared to deal with the pressure associated.
Encouragingly, the Bhoys made a positive start against Kilmarnock last weekend, which can hopefully be followed up by three points at Easter Road on Sunday.
