Hibernian mock former Celtic man Jota’s Al-Ittihad announcement in brilliant fashion

Hibernian have had some fun by mocking the announcement video for Jota’s move to Al-Ittihad.

The Portuguese winger departed Celtic earlier this week to sign for the mega-rich Saudi Arabian outfit.

Jota’s Al-Ittihad announcement video was quite something. It featured a cartoon/video game depiction of manager Nuno Espirito Santo, mulling over the new signing.

The former Spurs boss was seen watching highlights of Jota before getting into his car to complete the deal.

Espirito Santo chose Jota via a set of cards which also included Albian Ajeti, Giorgos Giakoumakis and Anthony Ralston, before uttering the words “we want to rule the world.”

Our Premiership opponents Hibernian clearly enjoyed the clip. They have now created a spoof in order to announce their signing of Dylan Levitt.

Hibernian posted the clip on Twitter alongside the caption: “Sorry, my bro. Give me those cards.”

Their version is shorter at just 35 seconds but features the same unknown character.

It finishes with the words “we want to rule the Cinch” while a Hibernian badge is placed over Espirito Santo’s face. It is actually pretty good patter.

Now we just need a big Celtic signing and a neat announcement video to go with it.

Maybe tomorrow is the day.
