BT Sport will tonight air “UCL Greatest Nights: Celtic”, promising to deliver interviews with former players and managers as well as highlights of our greatest moments in Europe’s premier competition.

The hour-long show kicks off at 9pm on BT Sport 2, with the broadcaster posting a trailer for the show on Twitter earlier today.

BT Sport has broadcast a number of individual Celtic European highlights programmes during the ongoing shutdown, but this effort appears to be more of a coherent package, with a narrator in the trailer promising it will span 50 years of European Cup football.

European nights are something we can only dream of right now, with the harsh reality being we might not see the Hoops play in front of passionate home supporters until towards the end of the year.

Right now there’s no real clear indication from the Scottish Government about when games take place behind closed doors.

With a number of challenges ahead, the most prominent of those being the safety of players, staff and fans, we’ll just have to keep the Celtic fire burning with a bit of reminiscing.

It’s not like we haven’t got loads of famous European nights to look back on with pride.

From Inter in 1967 to Juventus under Martin O’Neill, Manchester United under Gordon Strachan and Barcelona under Neil Lennon, we’ve conquered some of the continent’s finest teams.

Hopefully tonight’s programme, starting at 9pm on BT Sport 2, does right by those achievements.
