Pressley’s side had gone four games without a win but beat St Mirren 3-1 to move above them in the Scottish Premiership table.

It was a timely win for Dundee, who will come to Parkhead for Martin O’Neill’s final game in charge before Wilfried Nancy takes the reins.

In the aftermath of the win, the Dundee boss revealed that a dream he had in the build-up to the game which helped them to get the three points.

Steven Pressley on Dundee’s dream win

The hero of the day for Dundee was striker Joe Westley, who wrapped up the win with an 87th minute goal.

Westley wasn’t meant to play, but Pressley revealed how a vision in his sleep made him include the forward.

He told the Dundee Courier: ” I told the boys in the dressing-room a true story after the game.

“I went to bed on Thursday with a team in my mind but I woke at 2am with something telling me to play someone different.

“I came in on Friday and told the staff that something had planted it in my mind. I did it and it worked out well – I’m just glad my dream was right!

“The player was Joe Westley – he’s trained immensely, he was outstanding all week, and is a player who can score goals.

Celtic will not be hoping for a repeat of the last time the Bhoys played against Dundee.

O’Neill has an excellent record against the Dark Blues, losing one of the 17 games he has faced them in, winning 14 and drawing the other two.

With a chance to go top of the table if Hearts drop points again, a win is the only thing that will do.
