Odsonne Edouard could end up facing his former Celtic teammates at the 2026 World Cup.
Edouard is in fine form for Lens after returning to France in the summer transfer window.
His performances have caught the eye of many, and he will be secretly hoping that he can make it on the plane to the USA, Canada and Mexico.
While a call-up for France is looking unlikely, there is another nation he could go on to play for at next summer’s tournament.

Odsonne Edouard could be called up by Haiti for 2026 World Cup
There will be a host of nations making their debut, or playing for the first time in years, at the World Cup.
One of those nations is Haiti, and they are looking to recruit some extra talent to help them compete.
Haiti’s first game of the World Cup is against Scotland, which means that Edouard could face former Celtic teammates Kieran Tierney and Anthony Ralston.
Both of his parents were born there, and the forward hasn’t ruled out the possibility of playing for them after being contacted.
“I came up through the ranks of the French national team, so obviously I am not going to hide that I have always wanted to play for them, and it would be the next logical step in my career,” he confessed.
“But I am certainly not closing the door on playing for Haiti – they have been in contact with me”

Former Celtic players who could play at the 2026 World Cup
While there will be a number of players who do go to the World Cup that are still at Celtic, there are some former Hoops who may be in contention.
The trio of Ben Gannon-Doak, Ryan Christie and Jack Hendry could all be called up by Steve Clarke for Scotland’s first World Cup finals since 1990.
All of them have featured in the qualifiers to get the Tartan Army to this position so have a good chance of being named in the final squad.
