How Celtic’s 2025/26 form before the November internationals compares to their 2024/25 season

We’ve reached the final international break of the calendar year, and the last one until March 2026.

A total of 12 Celtic first-team stars have been called up for international duty over the course of the next week as places at the 2026 World Cup are to be decided.

It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks, to say the least, following Brendan Rodgers’ decision to resign from the Bhoys and be replaced by Martin O’Neill on an interim basis.

The next round of fixtures after the November break could well determine the entire outcome of Celtic’s season after a patchy start.

But how does it compare to the form Celtic were in at the same stage this time last season?

Celtic’s results in the 2024/25 season vs 2025/26 season

Celtic head into this year’s international break off the back of a convincing 4-0 victory against Kilmarnock.

Those three points mean that they are now seven points behind Hearts with a game in hand.

However, defeats against Dundee, the Jambos and Midtjylland in the Europa League soured the mood somewhat, whereas in the 2024/25 campaign, the Bhoys came into the November international break unbeaten in the seven games.

The standout from that period was the 3-1 win against RB Leipzig in the Champions League and the 6-0 thumping of Aberdeen in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final.

Celtic’s points total at this stage in the 2024/25 season to the 2025/26 campaign

It will be no surprise to see based on the current form of the side that the Hoops were way better off in the 2024/25 campaign.

As it stands, after 11 games of the Scottish Premiership, Celtic are second in the table and have 23 points, scoring 20 goals and conceding eight – which is the lowest in the division.

This time 12 months ago though, the Hoops were leading the way having won 10 of the 11 games, dropping points once in a draw, leaving them on 31 points – a whole eight points better off than right now.

Additionally, the Hoops had only conceded three goals in that time. It is fair to say that things need to improve drastically.
