The 21-year-old will sport the number 19 for the Bhoys and has already been introduced to his new teammates in training at Lennoxtown.

Speaking in his first interview with the club’s official channel, the South Korean international stated that it was a ‘dream come true’ to get his move to Celtic over the line.

Oh also revealed what supporters should expect from him as a player and spoke about the previous South Korean players who have pulled on the green and white Hoops.

He said [Celtic TV]: “I am happy to be playing at one of the top clubs, and I’m delighted that my dream has come true.

“I am a very aggressive player who also likes the physical side. I also like to score lots of goals.”

He continued: “One of my aims is to score a lot of goals, and I also have ambitions of winning a league championship.”

“Ki Sung-yueng and Cha Du-ri are two of the players I respect the most. I have seen them playing for Celtic, and I’m now happy to have the Celtic badge on my chest and working with the team on its goals.”

“This is the moment I have dreamed of, and I am really excited to perform in front of the fans at the stadium (Celtic Park).”

Finally, when asked if having other Asian players at the club will help him settle in, Oh responded: “Yes, I think they will definitely be helpful because we have common things, and as they have successfully adapted here, I would also like to do the same.”

Ange Postecoglou gets new striker as Celtic complete exciting Hyeongyu Oh signing.

It has been clear since the very start of the January transfer market that Ange Postecoglou has been on the hunt for a new striker.

And with just under a week left in the window, the former Socceroos boss has his man, signing Hyeongyu Oh to a long-term deal at Celtic Park.

Although supporters aren’t likely to have heard much about the young frontman, he appears to be a very exciting addition to the squad.

It is also interesting to hear that some of Oh’s biggest strengths as an attacker are his physical attributes, which should see him settle into the Scottish game nicely.

The Celtic manager and his recruitment staff have clearly done their homework, and he has added another different option to lead the line alongside Kyogo Furuhashi.

It certainly sounds as though Oh is buzzing to getting underway at Parkhead, and personally, I am looking forward to seeing what he will add to the Celtic frontline!
