Hyunjun Yang has opened up on the Celtic legend who is inspiring him to be a success at Celtic.
The South Korean winger joined the club this summer and, up until now, the supporters have only seen fleeting glimpses of the 21-year-old.
But today, Yang revealed the Celtic legend that has been motivating and driving him to prosper at the club. Hoops legend, James Forrest, is held in high regard by the Korean.
Yang clearly has a lot of respect for Forrest and is using the 32-year-old’s relationship with the fans as one of the motivations for him to do his best for the club.
Yang said [The Daily Record], “James is one of the club’s great players. He played with Ki and Cha some years ago here. When I look at James and how the fans support him, that gives me motivation to do well here. James is an inspiration to me, absolutely, in terms of his relationship with the fans.

“When the supporters shout and make noise, it gives me goosebumps every time. Even if I feel tired, it gives me the energy to give more on the pitch.
“Celtic have always been my dream club so when I first heard of their interest it was like a dream come true. I was fixed on this move from the very first moment. I watched Celtic games a lot when I was younger when Ki and Cha played for the club.”
Yang has shown early promise at Celtic
It’s fair to say though, that what we have seen from the winger stands Yang in good stead for the season ahead.
In the short amount of time we have seen him in a Celtic jersey, he does look like a tricky winger that has the confidence to take on his man.
With Celtic apparently still looking to add another winger to the ranks this summer to fill the loss of Jota, Yang will have plenty of competition in the squad to beat in order to get that first-team jersey.
Daizen Maeda and Liel Abada are the preferred wingers in the team at the moment but it seems that that does not faze him at all. If Yang can build on his early season promise, he does have the potential to be a very good player for Celtic.
