“If they don’t see your value”; Sead Haksabanovic stirs the pot with pointed Celtic Instagram post

Celtic attacker Sead Haksabanovic has appeared to take a dig at those in control of his current situation at the club with a post on social media site Instagram.

The winger posted this morning alongside a black-and-white picture of him heading off the field: “If they don’t see your value maybe you’re not at the right place.”

It’s not the kind of messaging anyone wants to see coming from the club right now and suggests that he is far from happy with his current standing in the Celtic squad.

A dim view is likely to be taken of his outburst and it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see him moved on before the end of the transfer window at this rate.

Haksabanovic has made two competitive appearances so far this season, coming off the bench against Kilmarnock and St Johnstone. He was actually praised by manager Brendan Rodgers for looking sharp last week.

So, it’s unclear who Haksabanovic is actually referring to as not valuing his Celtic contribution. Certainly, he hasn’t managed to cement himself as a consistent starter under either manager he’s had at the Bhoys.

The 24-year-old’s contract runs all the way until 2027 so Celtic have invested in his future here. If he’s throwing toys out of the pram it doesn’t bode well.

The last thing we need right now is Celtic players airing grievances on social media and hopefully the club move quickly to have a word. The squad needs to keep their discipline through this tricky period and stay unified.

If anyone isn’t on board with that then, frankly, they don’t have much to offer the reigning champions.

In other news, Gary Hooper goes against the grain with Brendan Rodgers and Celtic prediction.
