Michael Stewart says Greg Taylor has ‘improved dramatically’ in the colours of Celtic.
The 25-year-old helped Brendan Rodgers’ side to a 3-1 win over Kilmarnock on Saturday by getting on the scoresheet, with Reo Hatate netting a stunning solo goal and Luis Palma scoring in back-to-back league games.
But Greg Taylor is a player that Michael Stewart feels was ‘unfairly’ treated during the early stages of his career at Celtic, as he told BBC Sportscene.
Yet, fast forward to the present, and now that left-back spot is his own.
You feel there is much more to come from the player, who will want to add to the seven trophies he has won at Celtic Park.
Following Celtic’s win over Klllie, Michael Stewart asked which areas the team could improve in the transfer market, as he feels nobody can come in and replace Greg Taylor.

Greg Taylor’s form
“For me, I think Greg Taylor has kicked on and improved dramatically over the last couple of years to the point where I am not convinced that’s an area you need to be looking at at all,” said Stewart.
“I don’t think Bernabei is the answer, in regards to a backup or someone who is going to challenge Greg Taylor.
“If you are looking to bring someone in, then it would be purely as a cover. I think Greg Taylor, the way he plays the game now. Goes into those central areas. He is very, very difficult to pick up and he adds a different dynamic to the Celtic team.
“When he first went in. There was a lot of criticism of him, which I thought was harsh and unfair. I think he has gone through that and developed as a player.”

Heading into the international break
Another box ticked heading into the international break. That’s a seven-point lead over second-placed St Mirren, who host Rangers on Sunday.
On paper, it’s a pretty exciting month coming up for the Bhoys.
The two Edinburgh giants are on the schedule ahead of that all-important Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.
