Initial John Hartson verdict on Postecoglou's Celtic is absolutely spot on
It’s been another difficult week for Celtic supporters and there’s no getting around that.
The defeat to Midtjylland on Wednesday night was bad enough, but capitulating late on against Hearts at Tynecastle just added to the misery.
As fans, we’re still waiting for a new look Celtic to burst into life, but there is no magic wand and Ange Postecoglou has never claimed to have one.
New signings are a must, and a few painful results may be in the offing.
However, the squad needs to stay united. Celtic can’t give up and lose the plot before the manager even gets the chance to make the changes he needs.
John Hartson, who I actually disagree with more than I agree most of the time, summed it all up with his instant verdict on social media last night.

He said, on Twitter: “Transition period for Celtic. It will come together but how long I’d be guessing. Takes work, discipline, organisation and good players with a strong mentality to win for Celtic. No blame game, stick together.”
John Hartson is right about Postecoglou’s Celtic
I am buying into Postecoglou’s Celtic. I can see what he’s trying to do and I want us to get there.
There are concerns. We haven’t won a game this season, for starters. The length of time we go through this transition is completely unknown. We might be in for a few rough matchdays in the meantime. There’s a chance we get quickly frustrated with Postecoglou’s unwillingness to change from his set philosophy. But, for me, it’s all with a purpose.
The board have completely let us down. We know this. There’s an avenue to express your displeasure with them on Sunday if you’re going to the Dundee game.
But the team on the pitch and the manager need our continued support as we go through this period. That’s fundamental to all of this eventually working.
Get the players in the door, and get them playing Ange.
