Celtic’s title decider against Hearts generated attention across the football world.
But in the Forrest household, it was the ultimate clash between two footballing brothers, who ended up duelling with each other on the pitch.
James Forrest, Celtic’s most decorated-ever player and a club legend, came out on top against his younger brother Alan, a squad player for surprise title contenders Hearts.
The pair’s younger sister Lisa made her own final day headlines with a stunning hat-trick against Rangers at the weekend, and she has reflected on life in the Forrest household on the day of destiny at Parkhead.

Lisa Forrest on title decider between James and Alan: ‘We support them both equally’
Asked who the family was supporting on talkSPORT’s The Kickback, Forrest said: “We were all so stuck, we didn’t know what to think, it was such a unique moment.
“They were both on the pitch together for the last 25 minutes as well, up against each other.

“We were all just kind of speechless.
“It’s obviously such a bittersweet situation because one of them obviously is going to be buzzing, then one of them is going to be quite down.
“We just support the both of them equally and whatever happens, happens, but it is a really proud moment to sit back and watch them two play at the highest level in Scotland.”
When asked if it was a handball in the game at Fir Park three days earlier, Lisa replied: “I don’t know, I’m not getting into that!”
Finally, she said on growing up with her brothers: “Obviously, they’ve been a massive help, just having them there, knowing that they’ve been through a lot as well.
“We don’t really speak about football much, to be fair, but I just know that if anything happens, or I don’t know to handle a situation, I know that I’ve always got them to support me.
“And I always support them, too — I try to go along to their games as much as I can, and they’re always coming along to my games too.
“It’s been a blessing in disguise, really.”

How Lisa Forrest ended Rangers’ SWPL title hopes
The SWPL featured final-day drama of its own, albeit without a direct clash between the two contenders.
A win over Hibs would guarantee Hearts the title, but defeat meant that a win for Rangers against Glasgow City would send the title to Ibrox.
The door was wide open for Rangers as Hearts lost 2-0 to their Edinburgh rivals — but Forrest starred in an absolute demolition from Glasgow City, who ran out 6-0 winners over Leanne Crichton’s side.
A hat-trick from 20-year-old Forrest solidified her status as one of the rising stars of Scottish women’s football.
