Celtic have posted training footage from the club’s pre-season trip to Loughborough University on Instagram tonight.
A number of Instagram ‘stories’ have been uploaded, alongside pictures on Twitter, to give fans a taste of how it’s all going as Neil Lennon ramps up his preparations for the new season.
One of the most notable was a glimpse at January signing Ismaila Soro, who provided a classy assist for Mohamed Elyounoussi to fire home in a match session.
Other clips include a showcase of Jeremie Frimpong’s dribbling ability, a Tom Rogic effort and the squad being put through rigorous sprint and fitness exercises.
Soro is still something of a mystery to supporters following his switch from Bnei Yehuda earlier this year.
He’s yet to even make his Hoops debut, having failed to become a part of Lennon’s plans prior to the curtailment of the season.
It’s great to see him involved and combining with teammates.
Hopefully this is a big pre-season for the midfielder and he can challenge for starting spots when the new campaign kicks off next month.
Celtic are in England for the next week ahead of a number of planned friendly matches in France.
As reported by The Scottish Sun, the champions are due to face Lyon and Nice on July 16th and 18th before a daunting encounter against Paris Saint-Germain on July 21st.
