With Scott Sinclair’s exit from Celtic went one of the best songs heard on the terraces of Celtic Park and in stadiums around Scotland in recent years.
The winger’s lightning form during the 2016/17 season inspired Celtic supporters to come up with a belter that has been heard regularly since, describing the Englishman as wonderful and magical.
A tune set to ‘The Logical Song’, written by Supertramp and popularised for a new generation by Scooter, was about as catchy as a football chant gets.

Videos of Celtic fans serenading Sinclair were often uploaded to social media sites and YouTube.
Now it’s Preston fans getting in on the act and fair play to them.
Sinclair made his debut for his new club against Blackburn on Saturday, coming on to make a nine-minute cameo.
However, that limited action didn’t stop fans belting out his song, with a Preston fan account posting footage to Twitter later, describing it as the ‘best part of the day’. The clip has had hundreds of retweets and thousands of likes at the time of publishing.
This was always seen as more of a Sinclair song than a proper Celtic song so to see it nicked isn’t too big a deal. Besides, Celtic fans are used to our best terrace chants finding their way into English football at some stage.
It seems that Sinclair will have plenty of backing from the off at his new club and that will hopefully allow him to find the kind of form that made him a hero in Glasgow.
