Chris Sutton put it mildly on Twitter but he thinks Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic had a ‘good day’ in the Premiership on Saturday.
Given the outrageous manner in which the Bhoys sealed three points against Motherwell, then rest assured it was far better than just ‘good’, especially given that it was, once again, all going off for Rangers at Ibrox.
The boos were ringing around for Michael Beale once more, whose Rangers side fell to a deserved 3-1 defeat to Aberdeen and Chris Sutton couldn’t help but jibe on Twitter.
That means Celtic have a seven-point gap on Rangers in the table, with St Mirren, who are second and four points behind, currently offering the biggest of threats after their 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock.
This is a big month coming up for Brendan Rodgers and Celtic, both domestically and in Europe.
Matt O’Riley’s last-gasp winner will still be in the air when Lazio visit Glasgow on Wednesday night for the Champions League, but a win against the Italians, added with three points against Kilmarnock, then it’s a perfect way to head into the international break.

Chris Sutton’s reaction to Celtic and Rangers results
On Celtic result: “Good day for Matt O’Riley and Celtic,” wrote Sutton.
On Aberdeen beating Rangers: “Well played Barry Robson and Aberdeen. It is Michael Beale’s Rangers team as well this season…” added Sutton
Early goal needed against Lazio
After returning to the Champions League, it hasn’t been a great start to the Serie A season for Lazio, who were beaten by AC Milan on Saturday.
They are struggling in the bottom half of the table, which Celtic simply have to take advantage of.
Last season, there were many fast and eye-opening starts in the Champions League games. It just lacked that early goal.
If that early goal is scored against Lazio, then it will be difficult for them to stop Celtic from creating a magical night in Europe again.
