Spirits seem high at Lennoxtown as Celtic prepare for the clash against Aberdeen on Sunday.

It may only be week two of the Premiership season, but it’s already a big game as Brendan Rodgers‘ side go to the side who finished third last season.

Pittodrie will be bustling on Sunday, and recent visits have been testing for the team. It’s one of the fixtures that gives everyone a bit of a buzz in the days prior.

The likes of David Turnbull, Maik Nawrocki and Odin Thiago Holm were all pictured as they aim for a starting berth at Pittodrie.

So too were Reo Hatate and Alexandro Bernabei — two players who we spoke about earlier this morning.

We told you how Bernabei hadn’t featured in the match day squad for the last weekend’s Ross County match after sleeping in for a team meeting earlier in the week.

It was a clear indication of Rodgers setting boundaries for his players and reminding them who was boss.

He has also spoken in the media recently about Hatate. We actually viewed his comments as pretty reassuring, even if some of the headlines in the media painted a different picture.

Regardless, Hatate was surprisingly left-out of the starting line-up for the County game so it was great to see him happy at training, and Bernabei the same.

Pictures can of course be deceiving. Most of you reading this will have been asked to force a smile for a camera at some stage. But the Celtic camp seems in very good spirits right now.

Let’s hope things are still that way after Sunday’s big game.
