ITV has announced that ex-Celtic pair Scott Brown and Joe Ledley will be part of their Euro 2020 coverage this summer.
The competition will kick-off on Friday June 11th, with ITV showing 27 live games throughout the tournament. Scotland’s group stage games against England and Croatia will be shown as part of their schedule.
And today they’ve announced their punditry team for the competition. ITV will broadcast as many as 15 different pundits throughout, with big names such as Gary Neville, Roy Keane, and Patrick Viera all involved.
Brown and Ledley have also been selected to take part. Dates haven’t been given as to what games certain pundits will be on screen, but you would expect Brown to be front and centre for Scotland games. Ledley, a Wales veteran, you would expect will form part of the team covering Wales vs Italy on June 20th.
Brown’s appearance will give the Celtic fans their first glimpse of him since leaving the club for Aberdeen this summer.
ITV secure a Celtic connection for the Euros
It’s unclear whether the pair will be on together at any stage during the competition. With Scotland and Wales in different group stages, however, it would seem unlikely. Both men will likely be covering their own nations.
Of course, Brown and Ledley played together at Celtic between 2010 and 2014. Throughout their time at Parkhead together they won three Scottish Premier League titles, one Scottish Cup, and played in the last-16 of the UEFA Champions League.

Ledley would ultimately leave Celtic for Crystal Palace in 2014. However, he’s still held in high regard by the Hoops support after making 157 appearances for the club in his four years in Glasgow [Transfermarkt].
Broony, of course, left as a Celtic legend. With 22 trophy successes and countless glorious moments in green-and-white, his place as a Celtic icon is secure. It’ll be interesting to see his insight into the Scotland team too.
It’s going to be a class summer of international football, and it’s an even bigger plus to see these ex-Celts take part in some of the broadcasts.
In other news, Hibernian’s Ron Gordon has reacted to speculation after Celtic were linked with two of his players.
