Jack Hendry has ruled out a return to the Scottish Premiership.
The ex-Celtic defender has recently confirmed his departure from Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ettifaq after three years in the Middle East.
He is now preparing for a historic World Cup campaign with Scotland, having previously been involved with the squad at both EURO 2020 and 2024.
Having previously played in Belgium and Italy, Hendry will have some interest, but thinks he’s above the Scottish top-flight for now.

Jack Hendry: I can’t see a return to Scotland for now
Hendry told the Daily Record: “I’ve got a lot of offers.
“Having played in different countries now, it’s opened up a lot of markets for myself. Naturally, that’s helped me.

“I’ve been pleasantly surprised. When some players go out of contract it can go quite quiet but it’s been quite busy for myself and I’ll probably make my decision before the start of the tournament.
“I’ve been quite lucky with the offers that have come to me so far so that’s what I’ll probably do.
“Can I see a return to Scotland? No, not just now I’m not slamming the Scottish leagues, as such, and it might happen towards the end of my career.
“But at this moment in time, no. I just think I can play at a higher level. Obviously, you have the top teams in the league who play in Europe and that would be as an aspiration of mine if I came back to Europe.
“That would need to be key, I would need to be playing in Europe. I just think the Scottish market is probably a league I won’t go back to at this moment in time.”
Hendry has 36 caps for Scotland, having made his international debut in March 2018, two months after moving to Celtic.
It’s fair to say that it didn’t quite happen for him in Hoops, but he went on to have a successful career in Belgium with KV Oostende and Club Brugge.

An eventful final few months for Jack Hendry in Saudi Arabia
Hendry was teammates with Hoops hero Moussa Dembele at Ettifaq. Back in April, they faced local rivals Al-Qadsiah, managed by Brendan Rodgers.
In a perfectly scripted sequence of events, Dembele and Hendry both scored against Rodgers’ side, inflicting the Irishman’s first defeat at the club.
Later that month, Hendry was suspended for “behaviour” after a coming together with ex-£100 million man Joao Felix.
Saudi authorities were accused of being soft in favour of Cristiano Ronaldo’s side.
