Hibernian boss Jack Ross admits that reported Celtic target Martin Boyle is the “last person” he’d like to lose this month.

Ross was quizzed about Hammond’s attendance post-match and admits that losing the winger this month would be a real blow.
“He’s the last person I’d like to lose from this club,” Ross told the Scottish Sun.
“I’ve had it with players before – they’re players who get results and you enjoy watching them then people take them off you.
“But I’m not bothered with others watching him because it means he’s playing well for me.”
Ross already understands how good Boyle is
Ross has only been at Easter Road for a matter of months but he clearly already rates Boyle higher than most.
That viewpoint is likely to be shared by Neil Lennon who worked with the winger during his time at Hibernian.
Nick Hammond’s attendance at last night’s game is intriguing because you would assume the Celtic management team would know everything there is to about the former Dundee man.
Boyle has raw pace and likes to get at his full-back and Hammond will have been impressed with the say he had in both goals last night.
Ross clearly doesn’t want to lose his man but there’s little he’ll be able to do if we put in a decent sized offer.
He’s only contracted until the middle of 2021 (BBC) so this month and the summer will be critical in terms of Hibs deciding whether they want a fee for him or not.
