Celtic winger James Forrest doesn’t feel there are similarities between the duo of Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard, the Scottish Sun reports.
The Hoops attacker is a good judge of the strike duo, as he has been involved in setting up goals for both players whilst they played for the club.
Dembele has of course moved on to Lyon, whilst Edouard has replaced him as Celtic’s number one striker.

Forrest believes that the only similarities between the duo is that they are strikers.
“Totally different”
“He sometimes gets compared to Moussa Dembele but I find that strange because, although they are both strikers, they are totally different players” Forrest said, as quoted by the Scottish Sun when discussing Edouard.
“If you ask any Celtic player they will tell you they’ve enjoyed playing with both of them.”
The duo really aren’t that similar, as for the most part Dembele was a natural penalty box striker during his time with the Hoops.
He at times worked outside the box, but finishing was his number one attribute.
As for Edouard, a lot of his best work comes outside the penalty box. He seems much more able to play in a partnership than Dembele did.

That is to not take away from Dembele’s time at Celtic, as he was an excellent player for the Hoops, one of the club’s best strikers in years.
Hoops fortunate to have duo at club in recent times
In fact, Celtic are fortunate that when one good striker has left, another one has replaced him. Clubs don’t get that lucky that often.
Will Edouard follow Dembele out of Celtic with a big money move? Quite possibly.
That could be another one of the few similarities between the players. Celtic will hope that is the case, but that Edouard stays on to help secure 10 in a row.
