Celtic star James Forrest has sent a warning to Rangers ahead of Sunday’s Glasgow derby, the Celtic View reports.
The Hoops winger, who seems certain to start the game, believes that the Hoops will be full of confidence going to the fixture.
“Whoever starts on Sunday, we’re confident in all areas of the pitch” Forrest said, as quoted by the Celtic View (Volume 55, Issue 33, Page 13).
“A really strong squad”
“We’ve got a really strong squad, a squad of players that want to play and a squad of players who want to win. The manager has a number of formations that he likes us to play in, and a number of players he likes to use in different roles, that bodes well the boys are on form” he concluded.
Obviously the Hoops should go into the game full of confidence, After all, the team are 13 points clear at the top of the Premiership table.
However, it is a Glasgow derby, and those games are notoriously difficult to predict. Neil Lennon will be well aware of that, and will not be taking three points for granted, even though the Hoops are miles ahead in the battle to be crowned Champions.
Correct to be confident
Despite that, Forrest is correct to be confident ahead of the game. Celtic are in an excellent run of form, and the Hoops look more than capable of picking up the three points that would all but clinch nine in a row.
Neil Lennon and his players will have a determination to make-up for some poor performances against Rangers earlier in the season.
Hopefully Forrest and his Hoops team-mates can show that confidence on the pitch, by leading the side to a memorable victory.
