James Forrest set for Celtic training return ahead of Midtjylland
Celtic winger James Forrest is set to return to training at Lennoxtown this morning, regrouping with the training camp squad that went to Wales.
Forrest was forced to self-isolate after coming into contact with a positive Covid-19 case, missing the Welsh trip.
The Scottish Sun reports he is now out of that isolation period and has already been working on his own at the training centre.
Now he’s set to give Ange Postecoglou a massive boost ahead of the Champions League tie against FC Midtjylland.
With Karamoko Dembele picking up a knock against Bristol City and Mikey Johnston again on the sidelines, getting Forrest back as quickly as possible is crucial.
Postecoglou won’t want to rush him of course, but even having him as an option on the bench against the Danes on Tuesday is progress.

He can then play his part in the away leg on the 28th July, all going well.
There’s a real shift in the atmosphere at Celtic just now with the confirmed signings of Liel Abada and Kyogo Furuhashi.
This Forrest news undoubtedly adds to that.
Most important though is picking up a result on Tuesday night. That will be the real acid test of the current state of this Celtic squad and team.
Postecoglou hasn’t had long to work with the players he has, but can he work miracles in Champions League qualification?
If he can, the new era at the Bhoys will burst into new life.
