James Tavernier ‘visibly upset’ after Celtic beat Rangers
Celtic’s dominance over Rangers since Tavernier has been the captain has been punishing for the Ibrox fullback.
And it seems that he’s not taken the Ibrox defeat well as Miller told Five Stars podcast, “I had the briefest of chats with James Tavernier after the match and to say he was troubled, he was broken, it probably does not even hit the mark.
“You could see how visibly upset he was.”
Tavernier was undoubtedly disappointed as Rangers are now on course to end the season trophyless as Celtic work towards winning yet another treble.
When Celtic could face Rangers after the top-six split
Celtic have one more Glasgow Derby fixture against Rangers to go this season and it will happen after the top-six split.
Generally, the SPFL like to get these games out of the way early, and with Celtic’s final fixture before the split on the 11th of April, the 19th or the 26th of that month could be when the tie is played.
If Celtic win again, Rangers’ faint title hopes will be all but over, if they are not already done before then. As for the Hoops, there is plenty left to play for as O’Neill’s side will be buzzing after a win over their rivals in their own backyard.
