Joe Hart and Carl Starfelt revel in post-match Celtic celebrations at Fir Park

Celtic pair Joe Hart and Carl Starfelt took to Instagram to hail the post-match scenes at Fir Park yesterday.

The Hoops closed in on their rivals at the top of the table thanks to a big 2-0 win at Fir Park against Motherwell. Rangers, Hearts, and Hibernian all dropped points to ensure it was a perfect day for the Bhoys.

As goals from Jota and David Turnbull sealed the win, there were jubilant scenes of celebration between the players and the support post-match. Similar to the 2-1 win at Aberdeen 2 weeks ago, there was a feeling of unity post-match. And both Starfelt and Hart were keen to highlight it post-match:

Ange Postecoglou’s side had come under real criticism for failing to win a game away from home in the Premiership. However, back-to-back wins at Pittodrie and Fir Park respectively ends any notion that this is a side that struggles to get the job done away from Celtic Park.

October will also present one final big away-day trip to Easter Road in what will be another big test of Celtic’s title credentials. But that comes only after matches against Ferencvaros and St Johnstone respectively.

And as Celtic begin to build some serious momentum, things are starting to look ominous for those above them.

Bond between Celtic players and supporters is brilliant to see

You can’t underestimate the importance of a strong bond between the players and supporters. Particularly at a club like Celtic with the values we hold.

Look at how highly-regarded Brendan Rodgers was during his time in Glasgow. This largely came down to the fact there was such a strong connection between the Northern Irishman and the Celtic fanbase.

Post-match celebrations with the Celtic supporters does a lot for the morale around the club. Look at how much of a boost we got from winning at Pittodrie 2 weeks ago, for example. The scenes at Fir Park were just as important as Ange looks to get a serious run of wins under his belt.

If Celtic bag the points at Easter Road next midweek, it’ll be the same again. And the manager’s popularity levels will sky-rocket further if he can end our hoodoo in Leith.

Until then of course, it’s great to see the Celtic players getting so involved post-match. You can tell via Hart and Starfelt’s Instagram posts how much it all meant.

Hopefully, it’s only the beginning for this exciting-looking Celtic side.
