Joe Hart has talked up the bonding experience of the Celtic group travelling to Australia together, feeling it’s been a shared life experience they won’t forget.

The Bhoys travelled around the world immediately in the wake of last weekend’s big win over Ross County and have been training, as well as taking part in official club duties along the way.

It’s a busier schedule than most of their peers who haven’t headed off to the World Cup but Hart insists the squad should be enjoying these moments and using them as fuel for the rest of the season.

As quoted by The Scottish Sun [19/11 print edition, page 67], Hart said: “It’s a long, long trip and it takes the body a bit of time to get used to it. It does help with the bonding, we’re all going through some life experiences together. We’re on a good run and in a good place at the moment.

“This is another chance for the boys to get together and you’ve got to enjoy every opportunity that comes your way. It’s a bit of a unique situation and we have a bit of time before our next competitive game so we can enjoy this.

“I’ve been on a lot of these kinds of trips before, but this one is a long way and it’s two games with a quick turnaround. I’ve been on a couple of them where you don’t even know where you are half the time. But with this one, it’s pretty clear they want us to be here and we want to come and entertain everyone.”

Overall, the Australia trip looks to have been a benefit to Celtic.

A few million pounds have been made, Postecoglou gets some extended time with the squad in an isolated environment, fringe players get game time and supporters across the world get the chance to catch up with their beloved club.

It’s something we may well see more of from Celtic over the next few years, especially if European qualifiers become less of a factor.

If we can round things off with a victory over Frank Lampard’s Everton, everyone will be feeling happy with the week’s work.
