Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart has outlined the Ange Postecoglou factor that will put the Hoops in a ‘good place’ going into next season.

The 35-year-old shot stopped arrived at Parkhead last summer and was thrust into the action immediately, becoming Postecoglou’s new number one.

Hart has since established himself as a key player within the Celtic dressing room and one of the main leaders, alongside captain Callum McGregor.

The shot-stopper played the most amount of minutes out of any player in Postecoglou’s squad last campaign and was well aware of the rebuilding task that was underway.

Despite taking some time to build up, the Hoops eventually went on to become league and cup winners in their first season under the 56-year-old.

Speaking in an interview with Celtic TV, Hart insisted that learning during the season and the trust growing last campaign has put the squad in a good place to continue that success going into 2022/23.

He said [Celtic FC]: “The manager has his way that he wants us to play. Last year, like a lot of us, he was brand new, but we bought into it very quickly, and the trust grew throughout the season.

“We know exactly where we stand, he knows us, and we know him, so hopefully, that will put us in a good place.

“I don’t think we can get away from the fact that the only way we had success last year was because we were united and worked so hard, and the manager made that point every single time.

“The analysis was always about how hard we worked and how we didn’t give the opposition the chance to breathe.

“I’m super aware of not coming away from that, and that comes with age as I know I don’t have as long as I once had in this game, so I’m going to try and get every little thing I can from it.

“That comes from working hard, good team spirit and mentality, but we’re going to try and have a good time while doing it.”

Level-headed Hart is correct in his pre-season assessment.

Ahead of the Bhoys’ pre-season preparations stepping up this week, Joe Hart is absolutely spot on in his assessment of Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

At the beginning of last campaign, it very much felt like a year of building for the club. Despite that, they stuck together and produced an incredible turnaround.

The experience and learning they did last year will only bode well going into the new season, and Hart is keen to see the Hoops build upon that early success under Postecoglou.

The Celtic supporters will be able to catch their first glimpse of the side back in action later this week as the squad travels to Austria for pre-season training.
