Joe Hart will always be a Celtic legend following his three year stint in Glasgow.

The England international won seven trophies during his time with the Scottish Premiership champions under both Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers.

The goalkeeper, 37, opted to retire at the end of last season and won the Scottish Cup in what was his final career match.

Supporters paid tribute with a special tifo and message to honour their player who had become a real fan favourite in his spell.

But just because Hart has hung up his gloves and boots does not mean he doesn’t still follow the club and hope for their success as has been clear lately.

Having turned into a pundit since calling it quits, Hart was on the commentary team for TNT Sports’ coverage of Celtic vs Atalanta in Bergamo on Wednesday evening.

And fans loved tuning into his co-comms as they hailed him as a strong analyst with incredible insight.

It appears that the love is also reciprocated.

Hart still loves the club as well as his old teammates and he was quick to congratulate the Hoops after their comfortable 3-0 victory over Motherwell yesterday afternoon at Fir Park.

Goals from Luke McCowan, Alistair Johnston and Adam Idah secured the three points for the league leaders who are now six clear of Rangers at the summit.

And Hart had messages of congratulations for both Johnston and Idah as he applauded their performances.

His post for Canada’s Johnston was simply with three clapping emojis.

And posting in response to Idah’s victory share, Hart had a three-word message for the striker.

He wrote: “Don’t mind it”.

Idah’s goal in particular capped off an impressive afternoon for Celts who strolled to the points to remain at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Only Aberdeen remain level on points having also won their fixture – against Dundee United – on Saturday.
