Joe Hart was clearly impressed with the Celtic debut of Yuki Kobayashi last night.

The Japanese centre-back put in an assured performance as Ange Postecoglou‘s side defeated St. Mirren 4-0.

Kobayashi was confident in possession, moving the ball quickly, and stood up well to block on the only occasion he was really asked to defend in the first half.

When the full-time whistle sounded last night, Hart‘s first action was to run to Kobayashi and congratulate him on his debut.

If that wasn’t enough, he then tagged the defender in his standard Instagram post-match message, saying: “Good win, strong performance. Congrats @kobayashi_yuki0718 on a good start. Amazing support, it’s appreciated.”

Kobayashi replied soon afterwards, saying: “Thank you for your help Joe.”

Very wholesome content, as they say.

Hart made two very impressive saves in the match too, once from a terrific Jonah Ayunga long-range effort, and once from Alex Gogic’s volley late on.

The former England goalkeeper really earned his clean sheet, and that wasn’t lost on team-mate Josip Juranovic.

The full-back replied to Hart on the same Instagram post, saying: “Supermaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! Big save Big Joe!”

So the social media formalities are resuming it seems, and Celtic are starting to hit their groove again.

Next up is Greenock Morton on Saturday.
