Former Celtic favourites Joe Ledley and Gary Hooper have met up in Sydney, in an image that’s sure to make many Hoops fans smile.
The pair were both big parts of Neil Lennon’s first regime as Celtic boss – helping us to win the first few titles of our current run.
Hooper then departed for England in 2013 with Ledley following him a year later.
The pair have endured mixed fortunes since, without ever reaching the heights of Celtic, before both ending up playing down under in the A-League.

Hooper has been with Wellington Phoenix for a few months while Ledley has recently moved to Newcastle Jets.
But the pair have clearly kept in contact and arranged a meet on Sunday evening (Aussie time) as Ledley posted the image on the story part of his Instagram account.

He kept it brief saying only: “Reunited with @HOOP588” – (Hooper’s Instagram username).
Ledley and Hooper will have great memories of Celtic
It’s great to see the pair still meeting up and socialising despite their days at Celtic being long gone.
We’ve got former players playing in Australia, a former manager and player teaming up in the USA and numerous other ex-stars dotted around the world.
Ledley and Hooper must look back at their Celtic days as some of the best in their careers.

Playing regular football, winning matches and trophies, and getting to sample the Champions League. It is highly unlikely that either would have got that chance if they had stayed in England.
It’s just a shame that they both left so soon, when they still had a lot to offer.
Anyway, we wish them both all the best in Australia.
