Celtic have made great strides in the early part of the campaign and look in great shape to hit the ground running after the international break.
The Bhoys have won their opening four Scottish Premiership matches without conceding a goal and also progressed to the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final against Hibernian last month.
Capping off their first block of games in stylish fashion, Celtic saw off Rangers in dominant fashion last weekend to reclaim their place at the league summit.
There hasn’t been much to complain about at this point. Brendan Rodgers has his side carrying out his vision to a tee on the pitch, and the board have backed him with some exciting new arrivals.

Now, the main question revolves around whether Celtic can maintain their momentum and balance domestic endeavours with involvement in the Champions League league phase. Johan Mjallby seems fairly optimistic his old club can keep pace in their hunt for more success.
Johan Mjallby on Celtic continuing their momentum
Speaking on the Premier Sports Social Club, Mjallby has been impressed with Celtic’s transfer business and believes that, combined with their start this term, will serve Rodgers well over the coming months.
He stated: “Oh no, they will (go from strength to strength), I’m quite certain about that. Last season, we could fault them a wee bit because they were not playing the best football until the last two or three months of the season. But from day one in pre-season, they have been absolutely brilliant.
“It’s a loss losing O’Riley, but (they inherited) £27 million and now signing a few really, really good, not only squad players but ones that can do well domestically and in the Champions League.
“This team looks really sharp and strong for me, and I think they have a good chance even in the Champions League with the four home games especially.”
Celtic just need to keep moving forward
Football isn’t an exact science; Celtic may not always play like they did during the first sprinkling of fixtures this term. Regardless, the key is not to question it too much; just keep moving forward, and everything else will fall into place.
Rodgers knows what he is up against in the Champions League this year. Nobody can be taken for granted despite some exciting ties on home soil. They will all be strict tests, but the Irishman will have his men ready to do battle when the time comes.
Juggling their European aspirations alongside domestic matches will stretch the group, albeit the added squad depth coming in during the summer window will stand the Bhoys in good stead.
Celtic will take some time to recuperate over the international break. They have got what they wanted out of one phase of the season, it is now time to continue on that path.
