Celtic great John Hartson has talked up the constant post-match celebrations between the first-team and supporters after every match.
There’s been plenty of success to celebrate this season at Celtic under Ange. The Hoops are 31 games unbeaten domestically and have won 20 of their last 24 Premiership games.
Celtic have celebrated every single victory this season with a post-match lap around Parkhead or with passionate scenes in front of the visiting support during away games. It’s led to plenty of class personal moments between individual Celtic players and supporters. It was the same yesterday when Daizen Maeda gave his shirt to the Hoops supporters.

And Hartson believes it’s going a long way to connecting with the fan-base on an emotional level. Speaking on Celtic TV yesterday, John said: “This is all new this, Celtic going to the crowd after the games. This is all connecting with the fans isn’t it? It just seems to be the way the players are doing it. You saw a few weeks ago at Alloa when Joe Hart went and spoke to the supporters and signed shirts.
“I think it’s brilliantly. That’s when to do it – after a great win – connecting with supporters. We never ever did this. Only at the end of the season when we won the league or in a cup final certainly at Hampden. But generally win, lose, or draw we just walked off. We clapped the fans obviously.
“But I think this is very good from the players. I think it’s a great thing to do.”
Celtic support invested in Ange Postecoglou and the Hoops players
You have to say that this is a good spot from Hartson and worth talking about more. Because these post-match scenes with the support, whether it’s at home or away, are increasing that bond between the fan-base and the playing/coaching staff.
Yes, Brendan Rodgers was the one who started the walk around the pitch at full-time. But the Celtic players now will do the same regardless of the result. The reason being that they can show the supporters their full appreciation for their backing throughout the 90 minutes. It’s not so that they can get congratulated by the fanbase.
We’ve seen so many moments where the Celtic coaching and playing staff have provided some class moments that have gone under the radar. Joe Hart is a constant hero when it comes to stuff like this, and it’s fantastic to see.

Even those who watch the matches from the comfort of their own home can connect emotionally to our post-match scenes. Ange has consistently spoken about the idea of Celtic being one big family. That’s shown after every game.
The Celtic support are all in with their current boss and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why. Both on and off the pitch he’s absolutely oozed class, and his players have been the exact same.
Hopefully, the next time we see them celebrating wildly comes at Ibrox in 2 weeks’ time.
