Celtic’s visit to Hamilton on Sunday lunchtime was always an important game. The Hoops would have been looking to keep their winning run going, and stay clear at the top of league.
Now the match has suddenly taken on even more importance, after Rangers were held to a 0-0 draw by Aberdeen on Saturday.
A win for Neil Lennon’s side would give them a seven point lead in the Premiership, even though Rangers would have a game in hand.
Former Hoops legend thrilled by possibly seven point lead
One former Bhoy who seems excited by the prospect of the Hoops going seven points clear is John Hartson, who took to Twitter after the game to hype up the possibility.
“Big chance to go 7 clear tomorrow! Mon the Hoops” he said.

Celtic fans will no doubt be delighted at the prospect of going clear at the top of the league, especially after the loss to Rangers at the end of December.
But Neil Lennon and his players will not be thinking about Rangers. They will be thinking only about Celtic getting three points, and keeping the run of good form going.
Bhoys won’t take victory of granted
The Hoops boss won’t be taking the victory for granted though. Celtic have had a hard time playing on artificial surfaces this season.
The Hoops lost 2-0 to Livingston, and could only defeat Hamilton 1-0 in their first visit to the stadium. However, in the recent 3-1 win over Kilmarnock the Hoops looked like they had finally mastered the surface.
Only time will tell if the Hoops are able to get the three points, but if they need motivation for the win, Rangers’ blunder has certainly provided that.
