A raft of talent still to make an impact from the youths

It’s difficult to pick out who could be next to make an appearance for their beloved Bhoys. You can pluck so many bright young stars from the academy that would be deserving of their chance to shine.

Even young Ewan Henderson, who was yet another success story last season from the youths, could have a breakthrough campaign like Johnston had this year.

But inside Lennoxtown, there are a few notable youngsters who could make the step up. The obvious one would be young Jack Aitchison, who continues to prove himself as too good for the youth ranks. He also had two loan spells at Dumbarton and Alloa Athletic last season respectively – neither yielded anything productive.

Wallace Duffy, Robbie Deas, Kerr McInroy, and Barry Coffey are all impressing too. Many of the youth players have been training with the first-team over the last 12 months, so they’ll have had a taster of the intensity levels they operate at.
