Celtic fans largely remember Jordan Larsson as a young child during Henrik Larsson’s days at Parkhead.

Henrik is a Celtic legend and arguably one of the greatest players in the club’s history.

His son Jordan also went into professional football, but has never worn the green and white of the Hoops.

Currently playing for FC Copenhagen, the 28-year-old was in Champions League action and managed to make history.

Jordan Larsson scores his first Champions League goal

Larsson Jr was involved in Copenhagen’s 2-2 draw with Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday night.

It was a solid start to the campaign in the Danish capital, which saw Jordan score his first-ever goal in the tournament.

To make it extra special, his first Champions League goal was scored exactly 24 years to the day that Henrik scored his first goal in the same competition for Celtic.

It was an excellent performance from the Swedish international altogether, who was awarded the player of the match at full time.

Has Jordan Larsson ever played for Celtic?

No, Jordan Larsson hasn’t played for Celtic. Even when his father was scoring goals left, right and centre, he was far too young.

His career has instead taken him far and wide with spells at Spartak Moscow, Schalke and now Copenhagen.

There have been a few rumours tipping him to return to Glasgow before; however, Celtic chose not to pursue a move for Larsson back in 2022.

At 28, there is still time for him to come to the club that has so much family history, but Jordan is out creating his own legacy right now and the pressure of following in his father’s footsteps could be too much.
