Josh Clarke has reflected on his life at Celtic after officially leaving the club.
The goalkeeper, who joined from Glenavon as a teenager in 2022, has now signed for Doncaster Rovers after a season on loan at Partick Thistle.
Clarke had agreed a pre-contract at Thistle midway through his loan, but has immediately completed a loan move to Doncaster upon the beginning of his contract at Firhill; the move will become permanent in January.
He also spent time on loan at Airdrieonians and Ayr United during four years contracted to Celtic.

Josh Clarke on Celtic: ‘They were great people’
Clarke told the Doncaster Free Press upon signing for Rovers: “As soon as I came [to Glasgow] you could tell it’s such a football-mad city.
“Wherever you went people would be talking about football and Celtic and Rangers.

“Being a part of one of those clubs was cool in a sense, but also you kind of had to be slightly careful what you said in taxis and whilst you were out and about!
“But I loved living in Glasgow and they were great people.”
On his move to Rovers, Clarke said: “It’s something that’s gone on for a while so I’m just really, really happy to get it done,”
“I heard of the interest a couple months ago and it’s something that excited me and I’m not sure it was an opportunity I could really turn down.
“I absolutely loved my time at Partick. There were great people and I love the club, but this is probably the step I was looking for next in my career.
“It’s nice on a personal front, just to have that bit of stability in your life as well and to know that the club is committing to me and I’m committing to them.
“It’s a two-way, long-term commitm
ent. I’m really happy to be here and I’m in it for the long haul and I just want to do my best here.”
🤔 Should Celtic buck the trend of not signing Scottish Premiership players and push to sign Josh Mulligan this summer?
Ex-Celtic men at Partick Thistle last season
Clarke was on loan at Thistle alongside Ben McPherson, who also agreed a pre-contract to stay at the club in February.
Tsoanelo Letsosa, who left Celtic’s B team to move to Belgium three years ago, is also now on the books at Firhill.
The Jags are, of course, managed by former Celtic defender Mark Wilson, who has impressed with his dominant brand of football.
They finished second in the Scottish Championship last season, missing out to St Mirren in the play-off final.
