Celtic may be in action against RB Leipzig in the Champions League tonight, but today also represents Greg Taylor’s 27th birthday.
The long-serving full-back could well be given a timely present by Brendan Rodgers in the form of a start at Parkhead, but that is something supporters won’t find out until later on.
Incredibly, Greg Taylor has now been at Celtic for over five years, bringing home nine trophies and registering eight goals and 28 assists in 185 appearances for the club.

With his contract situation up in the air at the club, it will be intriguing to see if Taylor signs a Celtic extension with Brendan Rodgers keen to tie him down in Glasgow’s east end.
For now, the birthday wishes have been pouring in for the Bhoys’ left-back, including a familiar face who supporters will still hold deep admiration for.
Josip Juranovic’s birthday message to Greg Taylor
On his Instagram story, former Celtic right-back Josip Juranovic wished his old teammate a happy birthday in style as he blows out 27 candles today.
Porviding a small caption to accompany his snap with the Scotland international, the Croatian defender wrote ‘@gregtaylor12 partner in crime happy birthday’ alongside a four-leaf clover emoji.

Once upon a time, the pair struck up a brilliant bond in either full-back position, establishing themselves as mainstays under Ange Postecoglou before Juranovic headed to Union Berlin in January 2023.
Having put up four goals and six assists in 46 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit, it is fair to say his move has been a quantifiable success.
The birthday wishes for Greg Taylor pour in
Alongside his loved ones, the Scotland national team took the time out of their day to wish one of their own stars a happy birthday via their official X account.
Although Taylor will be more focused on three points tonight than any alcoholic drink mentioned in the description, there will hopefully be plenty of opportunity to have a cheers should the Bhoys get over the line tonight in the Champions League.
Aside from a fairly monotonous attempt at humour from myself, everyone at 67 Hail Hail wishes Taylor many happy returns on a day where Celtic supporters could have plenty to celebrate if circumstances work out in their favour!
