As Celtic wrapped up the title with a 2-0 win over Hearts at Tynecastle this afternoon, Portuguese winger, Jota paid tribute to Ange Postecoglou immediately after the final whistle.
Speaking post-match on Sky Sports, Jota said, “We never stop. This is a very good sentence, isn’t it? We have a big desire to be better every day to be the best version of ourselves. And this is no different.
“I think everyone can see how good we have developed since last season, and we just need to be better and better. So today is the day for us, our family for all of the supporters that have been unbelievable since day one.”

When asked what he thought of the manager and how he drives the players, Jota said, “I think he is someone that wants to win, which is the most important thing in football.
“But he wants to deliver good quality football, and that thing with our principles, I think, is the perfect combo. And yeah, just thrilled to be living in all of this and to be learning with an amazing coach.”

Jota has been instrumental for Ange Postecoglou and we have seen over the course of the season just how he has learned from the Celtic manager.
As well as providing 14 goals and eleven assists so far, Jota’s pressing game has noticeably improved and it is clear that he believes in what the Celtic manager is trying to achieve at the club.
With five games to go including the Scottish Cup Final in June against Inverness Caley Thistle, the Celtic support will be hoping that Jota will continue his incredible form to help wrap up another domestic treble for the club.
