Celtic are desperate to get Jozo Simunovic back fit and ready to go.
The Croatian is out for several months with a knee injury. He underwent an operation last month which keeps him from playing for a long time.
With the Hoops short of centre-backs, the Hoops would love him back as soon as possible.
Celtic are in dire need of Jozo Simunovic
Let’s not beat about the bush when saying that Kristoffer Ajer is showing weak points in recent games.

Fortunately, summer signing Christopher Jullien is helping out in that department. However, fans will want to know that his sloppy performance against Livingston will not be repeated.
Jullien and Ajer are the only two centre-back options which isn’t safe at all. If one of them are injured, then it’ll be about filling holes with other players.
Neil Lennon can look at Hatem Abd Elhamed but he can’t even play consistently in his right-back role.
Despite his ups and downs in his Celtic career, Simunovic is becoming an important member of the team.

He provides consistent competition to the two centre-backs and was a starter for a large part of the early season. It’s just a shame that this scenario will linger for the next few months while he recovers.
Will Tom Rogic get a place in the team when fit?
Another player to return with a huge question mark is Tom Rogic.
The Australian made his comeback against Partick Thistle in the cup two weeks ago. However, he hasn’t featured since.

There is so much competition for that spot but there’s no denying his qualities.
It’s already hard for players such as Olivier Ntcham in the team without adding Rogic to the fold. He still has several years left on his contract, so could it be time for the Hoops to cash in?
