Forgotten Celtic hero Jozo Simunovic is clearly having a little bit of fun in his recovery from injury after he posted a video of an infamous derby tackle on social media.

The central-defender took to Instagram on Tuesday morning to share a clip of THAT tackle from a victory over Rangers in 2017. There were 24 minutes on the clock when Simunovic lunged in with an impeccable challenge on Gers man Kenny Miller, taking the ball cleanly and sending the forward up into the air.
The clip Simunovic posted had the Titanic music in the background while he also included the caption: “Football is simple. Very simple.”

Simunovic tackle is remembered fondly by the Celtic support
The post went down well with a number of Celtic supporters and players including Scott Brown who commented: “Best touch you have had.”
The clip is a wonderful reminder of one of the amazing moments that Simunovic has given the club. The jury has always been out on his abilities as a defender but he has still provided us with some terrific memories during his time at the club.
Who can forget his iconic goal in the 67th minute as we mourned Billy McNeill in a game against Kilmarnock last season. Or his similar header a week later as we clinched an eighth title in-a-row.

The tackle on Miller will still rank as number one in a lot of Celtic fan’s memories. The moment just signalled how dominant we were over our rivals in a period when derby matches were more of a comedic affair than an actual competitive occasion.
Things may be a little closer now. But we still hold all of the important bragging rights. And so does Simunovic by the looks of things.
