Karamoko Dembele was once heralded as one of the best Celtic products to come out of Lennoxtown before leaving the club in 2022.
Hoops fans were made aware of the 21-year-old early on, as Dembele went viral after playing for Celtic’s Under-20 side at 13 years of age. Nevertheless, he only managed one goal in ten senior appearances before departing for Ligue 1 outfit Brest.
Truthfully, it may have been a case of too much too soon for the youngster, who was anticipated to meet standards he probably never would’ve been able to fulfil with the sheer weight of expectation on his shoulders.
Last term, Dembele enjoyed an excellent stint on loan at Blackpool, registering nine goals and 14 assists in 48 appearances across all competitions [Transfermarkt].
Now, interest has emerged in his services from elsewhere as the wideman looks to continue establishing himself after leaving Celtic.
Bolton Wanderers line up Karamoko Dembele move
According to The Bolton News, Sky Bet League One outfit Bolton Wanderers have made contact with Brest over a potential move for Dembele this summer on a permanent basis.
Brest want to recoup a fee for his services, and the 21-year-old has been identified as someone who could bring flair and a goal threat to the Toughsheet Community Stadium.

Dembele has had to take the long route since departing Parkhead, making just 18 appearances in an underwhelming stint at Brest, where he is yet to record a goal or assist, per Transfermarkt.
Nonetheless, the English football pyramid looks to have become a landing point for the diminutive winger and managers across the divisions are starting to take notice of his unique talent.
It is a shame Dembele couldn’t establish himself at Celtic; however, he has a bright future in the game and will continue to develop with game-time at senior level over the coming years.
