Young Celtic starlet Karamoko Dembele seems to be getting back to fitness after he posted his own little recovery update on social media.

The 16-year-old sensation has been out for the past few weeks with a foot injury. He hasn’t played a single competitive minute for the club so far this season but he could soon be in line for an appearance after he posted an image on Instagram of him getting his boots back on.

While there may be real question marks over the colour of the boots he chose to wear, Celtic fans will at least be encouraged to see the hot prospect back on the training field.

How often will we see Dembele in a Celtic shirt this season?

Dembele’s performance in the final league match of last season, coupled with his impressive pre-season efforts, have helped whet the appetite of the Hoops fanbase. They’re expecting big things from the young kid but they may also have to temper their expectations a little bit.

It’s hard to estimate how often we’re going to see the teenager this season but you’d be surprised if he chalked up anymore than ten appearances in total. He’s still so young and his body has lots of growing to do.

His performances are likely to come from the bench with starting spots so hard to come by – especially in his position.

However, one thing we can be sure of is that the youngster will be getting all of the right treatment in the background. Neil Lennon recently spoke about the impact Damien Duff is having on Mikey Johnston. Dembele, too, could learn from the former Chelsea man and it would almost certainly bring his game on to a new level.

The future is certainly very bright for Celtic’s hottest talent. Let’s just hope he can get back to full fitness over the coming months.
